Wood Sorrel - Kerrowdhoo Plantation

from 45.00

I was in search of late bluebells when I happend upon this carpet of lush green. Polka dots of tiny white blooms speckled the warm floor. The wood sorrel had flowered.
In an attempt the shoot in to the setting sun, to capture the golden green rays lighting up the floor of the plantation, I positioned the sun behind a clump of trunks creating a natural light break. Shooting directly in to the sun can cause havoc, creating an anomaly called flaring. Red, purple, orange or yellow translucent spheres begin to dominate the content of the final image. By creating this natural ‘filter’ I was able to control the serverity of the falling sun, regaining control of my overall light balance and composition.
