Port St Mary - Chapel Beach Bench Breaker

Whilst chasing the after affects of strong winds which had battered the Island for a few days I found myself being drawn to Chapel Beach in Port St Mary. I knew the heavy swell combined with the large spring tides could potentially provide some pretty impressive wave formations over and against the sea defence wall.
For 15 minutes I sat out of harms way to assess the situation as the waves rolled and thumped with thunderous impact into the wall and over on to the walkway.
With my health and safety observations completed I walked briskly between the swells and tucked myself in to a bush on the grassy bank behind the bench.
I took light readings from my camera aware that the bright sun would no doubt bleach out the blue sky. I was also aware that a fast shutter speed would be necessary to freeze the water, although I wanted a little blur to capture the dynamism within the storm forced swells.
